Kayak & Summit Tour

from $110.00

The Upper Gatineau Valley is a true playground for outdoor adventurers. With thousands of lakes and rivers, as well as unbelievable hiking trails, there is truly so many great things to do in this region of the Outaouais. On this tour, you will kayak down a 5 km stretch of the majestic Picanoc River which is known for its very calm waters and beach sides as well as enjoy breathtaking views above the amazing Mont Morissette Observation Tower.  All this while making new friends, living memorable experiences, and discovering the authentic Outaouais!

Your day will include the following activities:

  • After driving down the beautiful highway 105 in the Upper Gatineau Valley, during which your guide will share insights into the region and its history, you will embark on an amazing self-guided 5 km river decent in a kayak (or paddle board) down the famous Picanoc River in partnership with Carpediem Aventures. No need to worry, the water is very calm and the riverside is full of beach fronts to relax and take a swim. You will be provided with all necessary equipment and a lesson on how to use your kayak. You will be given 3 hours to complete the 5 km journey, which gives you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the adventure.
  • Once you have completed your kayak trip, your guide will drive the group to the Mont Morissette Regional Park where we will climb the amazing observation tower located at the summit. At the top, you will get breathtaking 360° views of the region. After, we will enjoy a short hike to an awesome lookout where your guide will provide lunch for the group. During the hike and at the summit, your guide will make sure to share all kinds of interesting facts about the flora, the fauna, and the history of the region!
  • On the way back to Gatineau and Ottawa, your guide will stop to offer a special treat, some well-deserved ice cream to celebrate your accomplishments and reward your efforts! Enjoy the ride and let your eyes wander through the beauty of the region during the drive.
