Kayak & Summit Tour

from $130.00

The Upper Gatineau Valley is a true playground for outdoor adventurers. With thousands of lakes and rivers, as well as unbelievable hiking trails, there is truly so many great things to do in this region. During this full day of adventures, you will not only kayak down a 5 km stretch of the majestic Picanoc River which is known for its very calm waters and beach sides, but also enjoy breathtaking views above the amazing Mont Morissette Observation Tower at over 1200 feet of altitude while eating a delicious lunch made locally. On the return journey back to Ottawa & Gatineau, we will be stoping for perhaps the best ice cream in the entire region. All this while making new friends, living memorable experiences, and discovering the authentic Outaouais!

Your day will include the following activities:

  • You will embark on an amazing self-guided 5 km river decent in a kayak down the famous Picanoc River in partnership with Carpediem Aventures. No need to worry, the water is very calm and the riverside is full of beach fronts to relax and take a swim. You will be provided with all necessary equipment and a lesson on how to use your kayak. You will be given 2h30 hours to complete the 5 km journey, which gives you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the adventure. Also, the current does most of the work, so it is very relaxing journey.
  • Once you have completed your kayak trip, your guide will drive the group to the Mont Morissette Regional Park all the way up to the observation tower located at 1200 ft of altitude where you will get breathtaking 360° views of the region. Once there, your guide will provide a delicious lunch made by an amazing local café at the top of the tower. No need to do any hiking for this incredible view!
  • On the way back to Gatineau and Ottawa, we will make a quick stop along the Gatineau River for some of the best ice cream in the Outaouais, that is at La Cigale!
