Gatineau Park Nocturnal Snowshoeing Adventure & Dinner

from $58.50

Take full advantage of winter with this unique experience in the second most visited park in Canada. Join Aventure Outaouais for an awesome starlight guided snowshoeing adventure in the Gatineau Park on trail #70 up to the Healey Shelter where a nice warm dinner will be prepared by your guide on the wood stove and served in the warmth and the tranquility of this beautiful and historical shelter.

The journey itself is considered moderate in difficulty with 7.5 km (round-trip) in length. But don't let that bother you. With the help of a trained and experienced guide, you will be assisted through this fun adventure and given lots of pro tips. We provide all the training and equipment to make it to the shelter and back. This round-trip trail should take around 3 hours to complete, including 1 hour to rest and eat at the shelter.

What is included with this unique experience:

  • All the necessary equipment: head lamps, hiking poles, snowshoes or crampons depending on the trail conditions;
  • A nice warm meal: a delicious warm soup (traditional Quebec pea soup) with grilled cheeses and desert;
  • Training on the usage of the equipment, hiking in the Gatineau Park at night, and much more;
  • Your guide for the entire duration of the tour;
  • Free transportation from Gatineau & Ottawa;
  • Gatineau Park access fees;
  • Lots of snacks!

Depending on the trail conditions, it is possible that this journey may be completed with the assistance of crampons instead of snowshoes to make your adventure more comfortable and suitable. In case of food restrictions, another meal may be offered.
